Thanks for being a part of our year

Hello,

Another trip around the sun almost complete!

At Pomegranite, it’s been a year of exciting projects, a beautiful new office, lovely new team members and freelancers expanding our ranks, a healthy amount of stressful moments, and a whole lot of fun and laughter.

Big news is that Sarah will be moving to Joburg at the end of the year to start a satellite office. If you have any colleagues, friends or family over there who need a website or social media, please send them our way!READ MORE

The 10 priceless lessons you walk away with when you leave Pomegranite

I was firmly convinced that my interview with Liz and Sarah had gone terribly. It was raining so my Devil Wears Prada inspired outfit was hidden by the only rain coat I own (a Shrek-green monstrosity I borrowed from an ex-boyfriend and never returned) and I somehow completely missed the lift at the end of the hallway in our Wale Street offices so I quickly walked up five flights of stairs and arrived at the door panting with my fringe slightly stuck to my forehead. This obviously all screams: “Hire me!”READ MORE

Ten things I’ve learnt in four years

– Sarah

A Facebook memory popped up yesterday – the first blog post I ever wrote for Pomegranite, right before I quit my job and joined Liz in the lounge of her little Long Street flat, which we called “the cave”.

It was written before we even had our own website, and was published on Blogspot. (When I told Alex this she LOLed at how old we are.)READ MORE

Pomegranite inspiration day: August edition

The activity for our August inspiration day was a topic of debate. There were those who wanted to climb Lion’s Head (Riyad really wanted to wear his compression pants), those who were angling for a Hint Hunt (vetoed, quite strongly), and those who thought Clay Café deserved a third visit (Riyad was reluctant, shem).

In the end, we opted for hiring bikes from Upcycles (fun fact: their website was one of the first we ever built) and cycling down the Sea Point Promenade. This has been on our list of potential activities for a while, and as soon as we set off in the sea breeze, I think we all wondered why we’d waited so long to choose this option.READ MORE
